Dr Gaurav Shah

Dr Gaurav Shah is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with more than 15 years of experience in Ophthalmology and manages the Laser, Retina, Uveitis, Glaucoma and Neuro-ophthalmology Services at Eye Life.
He currently serves as Visiting (Courtesy) Research Assistant Professor at University of Florida, USA while maintaining clinical practice at Eye Life.
Dr. Gaurav Shah is trained in Ophthalmology at the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai followed by fellowship in Retina at University of Florida, USA and L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He has been a Consultant in the Retina Services at L V Prasad Eye Institute.
Dr. Gaurav Shah has published 15 peer-reviewed articles, 39 peer-reviewed abstracts, 4 chapters, co-authored 1 book, performed 2 live surgeries and delivered 61 presentations as invited faculty. He is also a reviewer of high impact factor journal such as Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology and Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. He is a recipient of the Dean's Research Award at the University of Florida.

Dr Sushmita Shah

Dr Sushmita Shah has completed her masters in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai followed by a Long Term and a Short Term Fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. She has subsequently done another fellowship in Cornea & Refractive Surgery from Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Boston. She has been practising Cornea, Cataract and Refarctive Surgery from last 10 years. She has also been very active on the academic front and has been an invited speaker at various State and National Level Ophthalmic Conferences. She has also presented her work in International Meetings like American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, World Cornea Congress, European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, Asia Pacific Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, Asia Cornea Society etc. />

She is the recipient of multiple awards which include Best Paper Award at Keracon 2014 by the Cornea Society of India, Dr M C Luthra Gold Medal 2014 by the Uttarakahand State Ophthalmological Society, Best Video Awards 2005, 2007 by the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, “Honourable Mention” for her Scientific Poster at the World Cornea Congress, Washinton DC.

She the recipient of Research Grant from the Department of Bio Technology, Government of India for Collaborative Research with IIT Delhi on Nano Technology and an International Travel Grant from Sir Dorabjee Tata Trust, Mumbai
She is currently a member of American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, All India Ophthalmological Society, Cornea Society of India, Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society, Bombay Ophthalmologist’s Associatiion, Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal, Uttarakhand State Ophthalmological Society.
Her areas of interest include Lamellar corneal transplantation, Corneal infections and ocular microbiology, Anterior segment reconstruction, LASIK and laser refractive surgery, Dry eyes, Ocular surface reconstruction etc.
